Position: Senior Software Engineer

Education Bachelor's Degree. Advanced Degree in Computer Science preferred or equivalent

Job Requirements

· Architectural design work

· Hands-on development and testing

· Mentoring staff, code reviews, and writing technical documentation

Desired Skills

· Experience developing large-scale applications

· 5+ years hands-on Java development (or equivalent C++ or C# experience)

· Familiar with SQL, application servers, and servlets

· Strong computer science fundamentals including advanced data structures, algorithms, and multi-threading

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Four-year Computer Science degree or equivalent

Other Desired Skills

· Experience designing and testing systems with large data throughput and capacity needs

· Experience troubleshooting performance related issues on medium to large scale projects

· Advanced degree in Computer Science

· Knowledge of Tomcat or WebSphere application servers

· Experience with HTML, JSP, and Perl

· Knowledge of Struts or Velocity Apache projects

· Experience in both Linux and Windows environments deploying Java systems
