Projects Manager / Director (Construction) Job in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Reviewing pre-tender offers & documentation from Contractors/Estimation Managers and preparing final budget before commencement of the project.
• Receiving and analyzing quotations and finalizing agreements with subcontractors and suppliers in coordination with the General Manager.
• Guiding Project Managers to execute the projects within allocated budget.
• Directing and coordinating the activities of the Project Manager on site.
• Maintaining regular inspection on all project site.
• Maintaining relationships with consultants and governmental departments.
• Monitoring the progress of projects on a regular basis and resolving obstacles if any.
• Responsible for considering potential concerns within products/services and taking actions to prevent their occurrence.
• All other duties and responsibilities as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Graduate of a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Preferably a holder of a Masters degree in the Engineering field, or an equivalent degree in the Project Management. 
• Contracting/Constructions background is a must with experience in both vertical and horizontal construction projects.
• 10 to 15 years experience in a similar post. 
• Work experience with a contracting company holding a “special grade” license is preferred.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Involved in projects with minimum value of AED 300 Million.

 ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP:

Directly reports to the General Manager.  Supervise all Project Managers.
